Shane Wooten CMA Artist Teams Up with iHeart Radio to Promote New Single “Mudslinger”
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 29th, 2016 (Los Angeles, CA) – Shane Wooten is a CMA Nashville recording artist and listed as an emerging star, which is why it may come as no surprise to Shane’s fans that Wooten’s new single “Mudslinger” was picked up by iHeart Radio for full rotational play nationwide starting March 1st, 2016.
The greatly anticipated EP was welcomed with open arms by industry executives that got an early preview. For example, the CFO of iHeart Radio Pam Wallace stated “Now that is PURE country. Sounds good to me. My ears approve!”. If you don’t know who he is, you should. Wooten is a seasoned music veteran who is just now coming into the public eye in a big way. Wooten’s single “Mudslinger” is being promoted by Bellamy Brothers Records and distributed by Gnarly Records partnering with Clear Channel’s iHeart Radio’s new Artist Integration Program. Shane is planning a radio tour for 2016 and hopes to create some momentum with the help of what Shane refers to as his “kick ass fans” to generate radio play, requests and tour dates around the country.
“I just want to get back out on the road and hang out with my amazing fans. They are the reason I am where I am today with my music so it would be really cool to bring them a live show experience they will remember.” – Shane Wooten
If you haven’t heard Shane Wooten’s music, you will. Wooten is a 7 generation Floridian, rooted in Southern and Country Rock. Shane started performing as a Country singer during his undergraduate degree at UCF, when he founded Toys for Tykes Country Jam to help abused children and never looked back. Since, Wooten grabbed seven weeks at #1 on the Florida Country music chart with his hit beach tune “Shovel’n Sunshine.” The success from his single caught the Bellamy Brothers eye, which lead to the Bellamy Brothers producing and featuring on four songs with Shane. Since, Shane has toured from Florida to the Midwest and has worked hard to built an amazing fan base, which he looks to leverage with his worldwide debut single “Mudslinger.” Shane’s love for his fans drives him to work as hard as they do each day to bring them a country music experience that will last a lifetime. With rich musical history of the Southern United States running through his veins and coming out in his voice and songs, Shane is sure to hit the mark.
A mud-hole anthem, “Mudslinger” takes you on a ride and leaves you feeling like you just tore off the paved road for an awesome time with your friends on a 4 wheel weekend.
In creating his Nationwide debut EP, Wooten has written and recorded with such greats as Kenny Aronoff (Fogerty, Mellencamp), David Bellamy (Bellamy Brothers), Howard Bellamy (Bellamy Brothers), Cody Webb (Ages Apart) Jim Monti engineer (Metallica, Lee Brice, John Mayer) and Brian Smith of Gnarly Records (Special Projects for Taylor Swift, Rascal Flats, Sugarland, Zac Brown).
“Shane has a real tough mudder with Mudslinger and has brilliantly captured a fun American way of life. I just feel dirtier having listened to it.” – Shane Finch, Operations Director, MusicMaster Scheduling
“Just listened to Mudslinger. Killer bad ass mix! Very professional radio friendly mix.” – Kenny Aronoff
“Rockin’ tune that sounds great on my radio” – David Bellamy, The Bellamy Brothers

This proud 27 year old Ocala, Florida based talent is recognized as a rising force in Country music and is a CMA up and coming country artist to watch in 2015. The signals “Shovel’n Sunshine” and “Running with a Redneck Crowd” featuring the Bellamy Brothers are regional hits and reached American Country Music Charts top 100, ACMC Alt Country Top 10, and Clear Channel Radio Voter’s Choice “Song of the Year”.
In addition to his music, Shane has hosted and executive co-produced a regional television show “FL Star” and was the host and executive producer of the popular radio show “FL Country Buzz”, which was heard throughout Central Florida. [Laughs] However, I get just as fired up for a crowd of few hundred and do a more intimate show where I can really connect with the audience.” Staying connected to his beloved fans is important to him; he personally interacts with all his friends/fans on the social networks responding back to all emails and communications.
Shane is passionate about protecting children. Six years ago, he started the Toys for Tykes Country Jam, a Christmas toy drive for abused and neglected children in his home town of Ocala. Wow! It has been a journey to say the least! First, let me start by saying that when some may see this stop as a destination I can assure you that this is only the beginning. My team has been working tirelessly to get to this point where we are recognized by the Country music industry and allowed to participate with the CMA.
For instance, several years ago we were told by folks in the business to apply for the CMA; however when we applied we were rejected. Why you ask? Well, at the time we were not playing festival events with audiences of 10s of thousands on a regular basis and if we were it was only here and there. Also, we didn’t have industry connections and venues that would vouch for us.
Now, after several years of hard work, our Wooten Army of Fans, industry friends like the #BellamyBrothers and #TCRidge of South of Georgia and some awesome venues, such as CountryFest had our backs.
Sometimes I loose site of where we came from starting out and how we have grown as a start up of people dreaming to make it to the next level and stand on stages among the legends of Country music. And, then I fill out paperwork that only a few years ago asked questions that I could have never dreamed of being able to answer and check off.
Well, this year we could check those boxes and we had friends that could speak for us and fans that have our backs! And, that feels really good…. Thanks so much for that and everything that you all do to feed our dream because with out you all there would be no Shane Wooten Band!
Finally, I can only hope that what we have planned next for 2015 will continue to push us up even higher and offer you some of the best live and recorded experiences available… Thanks so much for everything that you all do and most of all thanks for believing!
– Shane Wooten
